Most South Korea eSIM providers focus on 7-day, 15-day, or 30-day plans, while Klook offers more flexible options ranging from 2 to 5 days. For longer stays of two to three months, I would look at SKT or KT. Both offer plans valid for up to 90 days, but SKT is currently slightly cheaper. Since these are direct carrier eSIMs rather than international resellers, they are also a popular choice among travelers staying in Korea for an extended period.

One thing worth paying attention to when comparing unlimited data plans is how each provider defines “unlimited.” For example, Superalink advertises unlimited data, but the plans are actually subject to daily high-speed allowances ranging from 500MB to 5GB before speeds are reduced. That may be perfectly fine for travelers who spend most of their time in hotels, cafés, shopping malls, or other places with WiFi. However, if you plan to be out all day using maps, social media, or video streaming while exploring places like Nami Island, Busan, or Jeju Island, you may find providers with larger daily allowances to be a better fit.

South Korea eSIM with Phone Number & Calls

Getting a South Korea eSIM with a local phone number (+82-10-xxxx-xxxx) requires tourists to complete a simple identity verification process. In practice, this means showing your passport at the airport counter, much like when purchasing a physical SIM card. Because of this requirement, you generally cannot buy a Korea eSIM with a local number entirely online.

Some travelers prefer getting an eSIM directly from a local carrier rather than from an international provider that simply uses the same network.
