Information We Collect

From all visitors: When you visit Travlists, we automatically collect certain data through cookies, analytics tools, hosting systems, and security tools, including:

  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • IP address and approximate location, such as country or region level
  • Referral source, such as how you arrived at Travlists
  • Basic technical logs used for site security and performance

From contact form submissions: If you reach out via our contact page, we collect your name and email address, along with the content of your message.

From comments: If you leave a comment on a post, we collect your name, email address, the content of your comment, and technical information used for spam detection. Your email address is not displayed publicly.

Third-Party Tools We Use

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — We use GA4 to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects usage data such as pages viewed, session duration, device information, approximate location, and traffic sources. We use this information to improve Travlists content and site performance. You can opt out via Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Cloudflare — Our site is served through Cloudflare’s CDN. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request data for performance and security purposes. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Kinsta — Travlists is hosted through Kinsta. Kinsta may process technical data necessary to provide hosting, security, and performance services. See Kinsta’s privacy policy.

Affiliate Networks and Tracking Pixels — When you click an affiliate link on Travlists, the affiliate provider, travel platform, or affiliate network may set tracking cookies or pixels to attribute any resulting purchase to Travlists. These are governed by the affiliate provider’s own privacy policy.

WordPress / Akismet — We may use WordPress tools and Akismet for spam filtering on comments. Comment data may be sent to Automattic’s servers for evaluation. See Automattic’s privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

  • Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 12 months, then deleted unless further retention is reasonably needed to respond to an ongoing issue.
  • Comment data: Retained for as long as the comment remains published. If you request removal, we will delete it within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Analytics data: Retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
  • Affiliate tracking: Managed by affiliate providers and affiliate networks according to their own data policies.
  • Security and technical logs: Retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and site performance.

If we introduce an email list in the future, subscriber data will be retained until you unsubscribe, after which it will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe unless legal or security reasons require longer retention.

Sale of Business
