About Travlists

Hi, we’re Travlists.

We’re Julian and Eisaku — two travelers building Travlists together.

Julian founded Travlists in late 2022 and is based in Seoul. Eisaku joined in 2024 and covers Japan and Korea content. Since then, we’ve been working from one simple idea: travel planning is easier when someone helps you narrow down what is actually worth booking.

Our Why

We all travel differently.

Some travelers plan every detail. Some explore without a fixed itinerary. Some pack their days with activities, while others travel to rest. Some keep returning to the same places. Some want to see as much of the world as they can.

But most of us are looking for some kind of experience — a tiring adventure, a romantic getaway, a cultural encounter, time with family, quiet time alone, or simply a break from everyday life.

Travlists was created to help travelers discover experiences around the world and book them with more confidence.

The name says it simply: Travlists is travel lists. We create curated lists of places, products, tickets, and travel essentials worth considering — based on real experience, reader booking data where available, and careful research.

What We Write About

Travlists focuses on practical travel booking guides for travelers who want to know what is actually worth booking before a trip.

Connectivity

eSIMs

Travel eSIM guides for choosing mobile data before you land. We compare eSIM providers, plan sizes, unlimited data policies, phone number options, setup steps, and promo codes — with Travlists booking data and firsthand testing added where available.

Arrival Help

Transportation

Airport transfers, trains, buses, ferries, and transport passes can change how smooth your first day feels. We compare the practical options by price, convenience, luggage, arrival time, and whether booking ahead actually makes sense.

Experiences

Attractions & Tours

Theme parks, attraction passes, tours, and add-ons are not always worth booking the same way. We look at what saves time, what adds real value, and what you can probably skip depending on your trip.

Trip Planning

Visa Guides

Visa guides for travelers who want the forms, documents, and application steps explained clearly. We currently focus on Filipino travelers applying for Korea and Japan, with sample forms, cover letters, and practical document tips.

Destinations

Destination Guides

Practical destination guides for places Travlists covers in detail, starting with South Korea and the Philippines. These guides focus on real trip decisions — where to stay, how to get around, what to book, and what to plan before you go.

Deals

Hotels

Hotel guides for destinations where Travlists has useful local context, booking research, or firsthand stay experience. We focus on where to stay, who each area works best for, and when a hotel deal is actually worth considering.

How We Make Recommendations

Our recommendations are based on practical travel experience, provider research, screenshots, pricing checks, booking terms, and reader booking data where available.

🧭

Traveler-first guides

We explain which choices make sense for different travelers, not just which option is popular.

📱

Screenshots & research

We use screenshots, provider research, pricing checks, and booking terms where useful.

📊

Reader booking data

When used, Travlists reader booking data reflects purchases made through our links during a stated period.

🔍

Editorial judgment

We separate “most booked” from “best overall” because popularity does not always mean best fit.

Built by travelers behind Travlists

Reader-supported, but editorially independent.

Travlists is reader-supported. We may earn a commission when readers book through some links on our site, at no extra cost to them. This helps us keep creating free travel guides, screenshots, comparisons, and booking advice.

Affiliate partnerships do not decide our recommendations. If a product has downsides, limitations, unclear terms, or a better alternative for certain travelers, we explain that clearly.

Travlists exists to help you find the experience you’re really looking for — and book it with more confidence.
