Our Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay Review
We stayed at Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay from December 23-26, 2023, which was a very busy time for the hotel. This gave us an insight on the quality of service the hotel can offer during the peak season. Below we share our experience:
Airport Transfer
Guests at Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay enjoy a free mini-bus or van ride to the private port of the hotel. Because our flight got delayed for 2 hours and we wanted to check in as fast as possible before sundown, the driver took us directly to Crimson Boracay’s private ferry port.
Private Port & Ferry Service
The first “wow” moment for our stay was at the private port. It was a nice place to relax in after the delayed flight. While waiting for our ferry service that will take us directly to Crimson, we had some snacks from the dessert table where they had cookies and other treats. The staff also offered us wet towels to freshen up. A few minutes later, we took the complimentary ferry ride to Crimson Boracay in Station Zero.
Welcome & Check-in Experience
We entered the hotel from the beachfront. A musical trio greeted us with some island music — a nice touch that let us feel excited for our stay. We were then escorted by the hotel staff to the front desk, which was a 2-minute shuttle away from the beach entrance.
At the hotel lobby, we were given refreshments. We were also checked in very efficiently to our Suite with Pool Access, one of the best-reviewed Crimson Resort & Spa room type. A few minutes after entering the suite, the staff pressed open the curtains to reveal the stunning ocean views!
Thoughts on our Crimson Resort & Spa Suite & In-Room Dining
Our 55 sq.-m.-suite was perfect for our family of 4. The room was perfectly and elegantly furnished as described here. The bath was spacious — there were separate stalls for the shower and toilet. The bath tub was also large. The room also had reusable water bottles (you can refill at the hallway), as well as some cutleries.
Our suite had direct floor access to the pool, so we loved that we can just swim when we wanted to. Since we got the corner suite, we also had a nice and spacious balcony where we had some dinner from in-room dining. We tried the fried chicken and fish & chips. The fried chicken was so good we ordered it again the next day!
Private White Sand Beach
No review for Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay is complete without talking about the private beach. While the beach is comparably smaller compared to other stations, we loved that it was private so it was just used exclusively by the guests. The rock formations on the sides made it more scenic, and the waves really made it a delight to swim into! Oh, and if you’re wondering about the sands — yes, it’s pristine white!
Breakfast at Saffron
Ah, hotel breakfast. Most reviews for Crimson Boracay highlighted this one. The spread was top-notch. It was hands down, one of the most enjoyable breakast experiences especially that you have the view of the beach.
As soon as you enter Saffron, you’ll find a high table filled with local breads and pastries. On the left side, you’ll spot the carving and dim sum station easily. On the right side, the mouthwatering buffet proper, which consists of the following, left us expecting for the next day’s breakfast:
- Egg station
- Thai & Indian cuisine, like Butter Chicken and Fish in Curry Sauce (varies per day)
- Okonomiyaki or Korean Pancakes (varies per day)
- Breakfast Pizza (staple)
- Pre-cooked omelette and scrambled eggs (must-try!)
- Bacon, chicken tocino, beef tapa, and longganisa (staple)
- Garlic rice and steamed rice (staple)
- Kimchi rice or egg fried rice (varies per day)
- Taco station (staple)
- 3 types of porridge
- Bread station (try the ube pandesal!)
- Two types of pudding (staple)
- Chilled juices
Ray, who works in Saffron, also brought us heated ensaymadas, which we loved. They also serve great coffee, so you shouldn’t worry about it!
Other amenities we loved
There’s a library and gym, which we frequented. While we didn’t travel with children, families with little ones will enjoy the art room, which offers classes throughout the day.
Oh, and at 4pm, make sure to head out to the beachfront pool to join Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay’s foam party!
