While I’ve tried Gordon Ramsay’s burger in Seoul and his elevated airport dining concept in Hong Kong, I consider his Manila restaurant my first proper introduction to some of his famous dishes. Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines serves many of the signature menu items that fans of Hell’s Kitchen will recognize, including the Beef Wellington, risotto, fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding. I made sure to try all of them, along with a few other appetizers. In this review, I’ll share my experience making a reservation, as well as the food that I would come back for and probably wouldn’t order again.

In a Nutshell
- Where is it located? Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines is on the second floor of Newport World Resorts’ Grand Wing. It’s an 11-minute drive from NAIA Terminal 1 and about a 14-minute walk from Terminal 3. I made the restaurant my last stop before flying back to Seoul, but it could also make an excellent first dining experience in Manila if you’re visiting.
- What is the average price? Most appetizers, pasta dishes, and desserts cost below ₱1,000 ($17). A single order of Fish & Chips costs ₱1,999 ($34), while the Beef Wellington costs ₱3,988 ($65). The more expensive items on the menu include The Seafood Tower, which starts at ₱8,500 ($139), and the Sharing Cuts, which start at ₱6,800 ($112). I spent around ₱25,000 ($408) on our family dinner, although it was also my graduation treat for my brother.
- How do I make a table reservation? I booked through the restaurant’s website and coordinated the deposit and other requests via email. If you’re in the Philippines, you can easily reserve a table by phone, Viber, or WhatsApp. Reservations are not required, but an advance deposit of ₱1,000 ($17) per person applies if you make one.

Quick Book: Manila Restaurants
Aside from Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant, I’ve also tried the lunch buffets at Misto and Hyatt Café, as well as Manam. These restaurants are worth considering if you’re looking for more places to eat or want to try something different during your Manila trip.

Making a Table Reservation
Walk-ins are accepted at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines, but I didn’t want to risk waiting for a table in case the restaurant was full. We were celebrating my brother’s high school graduation, so I wanted everything to go smoothly and to have a guaranteed table inside the restaurant. (There are also tables outside the restaurant but still within the mall.)
I reserved a table for a Saturday afternoon at around 3:00 PM. There were already a lot of diners when we got there, but the dining room wasn’t full. Even so, having a reservation made a difference. We were seated right across from the open kitchen, where we could watch the chefs working throughout our meal. It almost felt like watching Hell’s Kitchen without Gordon screaming.

Here’s how I reserved a table:
1. I booked through the official website
After reserving a table on the website, I received a booking acceptance email almost immediately, along with a note stating that a ₱1,000 deposit per person was required and that the payment details would be sent three days before the reservation date. The email came from Reservation Gordon Ramsay at reservations@gordonramsayrestaurants.com.ph.
2. I requested the payment details in advance
Although the email mentioned that payment instructions would be sent closer to the date of visit, I wanted to settle everything early. My reservation was still a little over a month away, so I replied to the email and asked if I could already make the deposit. They responded the next day with their bank details and a summary of my reservation, along with a reminder that all communication would go through their official channels.
3. I paid the reservation deposit
I paid the required ₱1,000 ($17) per person via bank transfer. I won’t share the restaurant’s bank details here since they may change over time, but the payment was made to a BDO account.
4. Reservation confirmed
The reservation team acknowledged my payment the following day. I noted again that we were celebrating a family milestone, so we wanted to be seated somewhere a little more private. I did not specifically ask to be seated right across from the kitchen, so it was a thoughtful gesture.
À La Carte Dining vs. Great British Brunch at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill PH
Before finalizing my reservation, I was actually torn between the Great British Brunch and the regular à la carte menu.
The Great British Brunch is served from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and costs ₱2,888 ($47) per person, before the service charge. It includes unlimited starters, selected drinks, and desserts. It’s a great deal, but guests dining during brunch hours can only order from the limited brunch menu. The regular à la carte menu only becomes available from 3:00 PM onward.
Since my family wanted to try Gordon Ramsay’s signature dishes, which were not available on the brunch menu, I chose a 3:00 PM reservation instead. It cost us more, but we were not limited by the dish selections.
As a tip: if you want to try the restaurant’s most popular dishes, I’d recommend ordering from the à la carte menu during the afternoon or evening service. If you prefer an unlimited dining experience with a fixed price and don’t mind a more limited menu, I think the Great British Brunch may be the better option.
What I Ordered at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines
Now for the food review. We ordered several of Gordon Ramsay’s best-known dishes, along with a few appetizers that caught our attention. Not everything stood out equally, but the best dishes were memorable enough that I already know what I would order again.
Crab Cake

The crab cake had a rich flavor, while the poached egg added another layer of texture and depth. It was a strong start to the meal and something I would happily order again.
My rating: 8/10
Watermelon Salad

If you told me before dinner that a watermelon salad would become one of my favorite dishes, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. The combination of sweet, refreshing, and slightly savory flavors worked much better than I expected.
It felt light enough to balance the heavier dishes that followed, but it still had enough flavor to leave an impression. Among the appetizers, this was the clear favorite for our table.
My rating: 9/10
Beef Wellington

Of course, we had to order the Beef Wellington. It is the dish most closely associated with Gordon Ramsay, so skipping it did not feel like an option.
The beef and pastry were both cooked properly, but the reaction at our table was surprisingly divided. Half of us loved it, while the others thought it was simply okay.
For me, the jus was what brought the dish together. It added the richness and extra flavor that the beef and pastry needed. I am glad we tried it, especially because it is such an iconic part of the Gordon Ramsay experience, but it was not the dish I enjoyed most.
My rating: 8/10
Fish and Chips

I honestly didn’t expect the Fish and Chips to become my favorite main dish of the night, especially since I’d already tried Gordon Ramsay’s version in Hong Kong.
The batter was perfectly crisp, while the fish inside remained juicy and flavorful. Even the thick-cut fries were satisfying. It is a simple dish, but the execution was excellent.
This is one of the first dishes I would order again on my next visit.
My rating: 10/10
Mushroom and Truffle Risotto
The mushroom and truffle risotto was decent, and there was nothing technically wrong with it. However, compared with everything else we ordered, it was the least memorable dish on the table.
My rating: 7/10
Sticky Toffee Pudding

The sticky toffee pudding was the highlight of the entire meal. It was so good we actually had seconds.
The rich flavor from the dates, the sweetness of the sauce, and the soft texture all worked together beautifully. It was the kind of dessert that made everyone pause for a moment after the first bite.
I expected it to be good because it is one of Gordon Ramsay’s most recognizable desserts, but it still exceeded my expectations. If I could only recommend one thing on the entire menu, it would be the Sticky Toffee Pudding. I wouldn’t mind having it at the beginning of the meal, to be honest.
My rating: 100/10
What I’ll Order Again
I’m glad I finally experienced the Beef Wellington because it’s such an iconic Gordon Ramsay dish. But on my next visit, I’d probably order one of their sharing cuts instead and pair it with another serving of the Fish and Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
