Why take the Haneda Airport Bus?

It made more sense for me to book the Haneda Airport Limousine Bus because it stops near my hotel in Shinjuku. Instead of taking the train (Keikyu Line) or the monorail, which are actually cheaper, I chose the limousine bus for convenience.

Many tourists take the bus for the same reason. However, the bus also appeals to tourists who want a more comfortable journey (bus seats are more comfortable) and who are traveling as a group with several pieces of luggage.

If you are on the fence about booking the Haneda Airport Limousine Bus, read our guide below and ask yourself these questions: Is my hotel near the bus stop? Schedule-wise, will there be an available bus when I land or when I need to take my return flight? If your answer is in the affirmative, then the Haneda Airport Limo Bus may be perfect for you. If you think your accommodation is too far from the bus stop or if there is no bus service in the time window that is most ideal for you, you can consider taking the train or a private airport transfer instead.

As for what the bus ride is like, I’d say the boarding process and journey were smooth. When I showed the staff my timed bus ticket from Klook, they easily recognized it and pointed me to the right queue. The bus driver also helped me with my luggage and left on time. The bus also made a direct stop at Hyatt Regency Tokyo, which was what I had booked.

Helpful Tips & Reviews for Haneda Airport Limousine Bus

I found a general positive review and rating for the airport bus. Many commend the punctual and helpful driver, the easy redemption and boarding, as well as the convenience provided at a very affordable price. Here’s one relevant passenger review: “For a [first-timer,]… this kind of transportation really [helped] us a lot in preventing the hassle of bringing our [luggage] from one station to another. [I] really recommend this to all tourists who [don’t] want to experience a hard time.”

There are a few travelers who also shared that they were able to board the bus at a different time slot (after missing their originally booked bus). While boarding at a different time is NOT guaranteed, it is definitely good to know that the service is flexible.

There is also this review on Reddit that may help if you are considering to take other modes of transportation: “We ended up doing the limousine bus, it was super easy… The service has a counter at Haneda [Airport]. We found it [by] just observing the signs… The price was pretty cheap… It was a nice service. Way cheaper than taxi. Less stressful and cramped than subway.”
