I. What’s special about Hong Kong Disneyland Resort?

Since it opened in September 2005, Hong Kong Disneyland has been delighting guests with a world-class theme park experience that just keeps getting better. Named by Forbes as one of the Top 15 World’s Most Popular Amusement Parks and recognized by Travel Weekly Asia as the Best Attraction, the Park is home to many notable firsts:

hong-kong-disneyland-ticket-promo-code-klook
  • First one in Asia to open Toy Story Land
  • Home to the Iron Man Experience, the first Marvel-inspired ride at any Disney Park
  • Original location of the award-winning Disney Paint the Night
  • First to launch Mickey and the Wondrous Book, a live musical (Fun fact: Hong Kong Disneyland got singers from Hong Kong, the Philippines, and China when it first showed!)
  • First Disney Park to debut Cookie Ann
  • Opened the largest Frozen-themed land

With so many unique offerings, visiting Hong Kong Disneyland is definitely a must — yes, especially for hardcore theme park goers. When I visited Hong Kong Disneyland the last time, my friends and I had the best time at Toy Story Land, the Marvel-themed attraction, and live shows like Lion King. I am now planning my second visit — this time with my family — to spend more time at the Frozen-inspired land and celebrate the new year at one of the resort hotels.

If you are visiting Hong Kong Disneyland for the first time, read on below to get more park information, tips, ticket deals, and more. We hope you enjoy your trip!

II. What are the themed lands and rides at Hong Kong Disneyland?

map-hong-kong-disneyland-park

Take a look at the Hong Kong Disneyland map above, and you will find that the park is divided into eight themed zones or lands:

  1. Main Street, USA
  2. Tomorrowland
  3. Fantasyland
  4. World of Frozen
  5. Toy Story Land
  6. Adventureland
  7. Mystic Point
  8. Grizzly Gulch

Knowing what each land is all about, which rides and entertainment they offer, and where they are located will help you plan your trip. Let’s look at more details below:

hong-kong-disneyland-blog-reviews

1. Main Street, USA

Just like in other Disneylands, the Main Street, USA serves as the starting point for all visitors. This land gives 20th-century America vibes with its displays of streetcar tracks and shops.

Many visitors typically spend time here before leaving the theme park, taking shots of the charming alley at night. However, there are also quite a few attractions that can be found here. These include the Main Street Vehicles, which features a slow-moving vintage vehicle to get around the street (a ride that’s great for families with kids); the Animation Academy, where visitors can learn to draw a Disney character; and the Disneyland Railroad – Main Street Station, where you can hop aboard a train that will take you around to see Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.

Main Street, USA is also where you can see and have pictures taken with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and more characters.

2. Tomorrowland

By the end of Main Street, turn right to Tomorrowland to enter the immersive world of Star Wars and Marvel at Hong Kong Disneyland. Here you will find the exhilarating Iron Man Experience and the equally thrilling Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!, where you will board a combat vehicle designed by S.H.I.E.L.D. Across these marvelous attractions is the Star Wars-inspired ride called Hyperspace Mountain, where you will find yourself starring in an epic intergalactic battle. (Queuing for Tomorrowland’s rides can take a lot of time, but you can minimize the wait by using a Disney Premier Access.)

At Tomorrowland, you will also find two iconic pit stops. One is the Marvel-themed Starliner Diner, where you can taste the Iron Man Burger (Wagyu beef burger), the Hulk Burger (double cheeseburger), American-style fried chicken basket, and more. The other is Comet cafe, which serves mouth-watering teriyaki bowls, Japanese curry, hot bowls of udon, and plant-based chops. (Both restaurants accept Hong Kong Disneyland Meal Vouchers.)

3. Fantasyland

Packed with a variety of child-friendly attractions, Fantasyland is where most families with little ones spend most time in. Here you can take a ride on the dreamy Cinderella’s Carousel, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and the Mad Hatter Tea Cups spinner ride. There is also the must-see it’s a small world, a magical and cultural boat ride experience for everyone. To make the most out of your visit, enter the fun The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction, where you will find Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, and more.

Before you leave, don’t forget to catch a daytime show at the Castle of Magical Dreams, pay a visit to the Royal Reception Hall in the castle, have a sumptuous Korean or Chinese meal at the Royal Banquet Hall, or savor Thai and Vietnamese dishes at Clopin’s Festival of Foods.

4. World of Frozen

Opened in November 2023, the World of Frozen is the newest land to open at Hong Kong Disneyland. It has a rustic Norwegian theme, and you will feel as if you are walking straight into Arendelle. As of writing, there are two rides at World of Frozen: the scenic carnival coaster called the Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs and the magical boat ride experience inside Ice Palace called Frozen Ever After. (The Disney Premier Access can be used in both rides.)

Aside from attraction rides, the Frozen-themed land is also home to Golden Crocus Inn, one of the best places to eat in the theme park. Here you can have Arendelle Pasta with Meatballs and Sausage, the Innkeeper’s Special Braised Lamb Shank, and the savory Royal Chicken Roll with Potato Puree. After you try all the delicious food here, make sure to catch the live show featuring Anna and Elsa called Playhouse in the Woods.

Travelers who have visited World of Frozen said that it was a great addition to the theme park, and the rides did not disappoint.

5. Toy Story Land

As a huge fan of the Disney•Pixar animated classic, this was the land that I was looking forward to seeing the most. Toy Story Land is a creative reimagination of the series and boasts various rides and experiences for everyone. The most popular attractions among families with kids are the Slinky Dog Spin, while the adrenaline-fueled RC Racer ride is built for kids-at-heart. The Toy Soldier Parachute Drop is also another ride that should not be missed.

Other things we loved about Toy Story Land are the meet-and-greet with the film characters at the Barrel of Fun and the delicious pizza and cake selections at Jessie’s Snack Roundup.

6. Adventureland

In my first visit, Adventureland was actually the next themed zone that I explored after Main Street, USA. This was where I really felt like I was in Disneyland. Adventureland is home to quite a number of splashing rides, including the Jungle River Cruise and Rafts to Tarzan’s Treehouse. Here you can also have an up-close encounter with Pocahontas and Moana.

For restaurants, you can visit River View Cafe for some Asian and Halal food, as well as Tahitian Terrace for Beef Rendang with Coconut Rice, Biryani, and Laksa. (The Hong Kong Disneyland Meal Coupon can be used in both restaurants.)

7. Mystic Point

At the heart of this land is the Mystic Manor, a museum that showcases curious artifacts from different parts of the world. There is also the Garden of Wonders that is filled with 3D illusions and the Explorer’s Club Restaurant that serves food from Morocco, Egypt, Italy, and more.

8. Grizzly Gulch

Last but not least among the Hong Kong Disneyland’s themed zones is Grizzly Gulch. Here you can take a water log ride at Geyser Gulch or go on an exhilarating adventure at the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars.

III. Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets, Add-Ons, Bundles, & Deals

To enter Hong Kong Disneyland and explore all the lands, you will just need a 1-day or 2-day admission ticket. However, there are plenty of add-ons and bundles that you can book on Klook, KKDay, and GetYourGuide that you can get to enhance your experience. Here is a table summary:

TICKET & ADD-ONS PRICE
1. 1-Day Ticket Book from $79.9 ➜
2. 2-Day Ticket Book from $132.6 ➜
3. Disney Premier Access (3 Attractions) Book from $24.2 ➜
4. Disney Premier Access (8 Attractions) Book from $53.2 ➜
5. Early Park Entry Pass Book from $25.1 ➜
6. Meal Voucher (Lunch or Dinner + Snack) Book from $23.9 ➜
7. Meal Voucher (Lunch, Dinner, & Snack) Book from $37.9 ➜
8. Meal Voucher (Children’s Meal) Book from $13.6 ➜

1. Admission Ticket (1 Day)

The Hong Kong Disneyland Park ticket provides admission for a full day. One thing you should note about the standard ticket is that it is categorized into tiers: 1, 2, 3, and 4. The higher the tier of the ticket, the higher the cost is (Tier 1 tickets are the cheapest). This is because Tier 4 tickets are for Peak Seasons or Days, which are when Hong Kong Disneyland projects the park to get super crowded.

However, while more expensive, Tier 4 tickets offer the most flexibility. You are free to use your ticket on any day within the 90-day validity period, regardless of the date you selected upon booking. (Date changes must be made on the park’s official website.) The same logic applies to Tier 3 tickets ( usable on Tier 1, 2, and 3 days) and Tier 2 tickets (usable on Tier 1 and 2 days).

hong-kong-disneyland-ticket-tier-calendar

As an example, if you plan to visit Hong Kong Disneyland on July 1st, you will be getting a Tier 2 ticket. This means that if you want to change the date of your visit, your options are other Tier 2 days (July 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17) and Tier 1 days (July 2 and 3). Just remember to update your visit date on the official website or app. You can view the latest Ticket Tier Calendar here or here.

Currently, Hong Kong Disneyland sells tickets up to 3 months or 90 days in advance. Click below to see the available dates:

2. Admission Ticket (2 Days)

Two-day ticketholders get to enjoy two visits within a 7-day period. Ff your first visit is on December 30, 2025, you have until January 5, 2026 to redeem your second visit. Yes, this means that you don’t need to visit Hong Kong Disneyland on two consecutive days.

Hong Kong Disneyland tickets for 2 days are not categorized into tiers. You are free to change the date of your visit on the website — select any day within the 90-day validity period.

3. Disney Premier Access (3 or 8 Attractions)

This is an add-on that you can purchase to spend less time in line. Instead of queuing at the standard lane, you can use the priority or fast-track lane at 3 or 8 select attractions:

  • Iron Man Experience
  • Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!
  • Hyperspace Mountain (available for 8-attraction pass only)
  • it’s a small world
  • Mickey’s PhilharMagic (available for 8-attraction pass only)
  • Frozen Ever After (available for 8-attraction pass only)
  • Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars
  • Mystic Manor

A visitor who purchased a Disney Premier Access (also referred to as the Fast Pass) left this review: “I highly recommend getting the [Disney Premier Access] Pass at Hong Kong Disneyland, especially if you want to save time and explore more of the park. It’s really worth it if you plan to try the rides included in the pass, especially the popular ones.”

Other visitors said in their reviews that they did not see the benefit of getting the Disney Premier Access since there was little to no waiting time during their visit. This can be the case if you visit on a Tier 1 (low season) or Tier 2 (regular season) day when the park is typically not crowded. To avoid disappointment, I’d recommend checking the Ticket Tier Calendar here before booking a Disney Premier Access. Check if the day/s of visit fall into Tier 3 (peak season) or Tier 4 (super peak season). If it does, then that indicates that there will be longer lines, and the “fast pass” may be useful.

4. Early Park Entry Pass

Get to enter Hong Kong Disneyland one (1) hour before its standard operating hours with the Early Park Entry Pass. This add-on is great if you want to have first dibs on popular attractions of your choice and take photos at the park without the crowd. Below are the attractions where the pass can be used:

  • Fantasyland
    • Cinderella Carousel
    • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
    • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • World of Frozen
    • Frozen Ever After – Presented by Blue Cross
    • Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs
  • Main Street, USA
    • Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad – Main Street Station
    • Duffy and Friends Play House

A customer who purchased the Early Park Entry Pass left this review: “One of the best things to do in [Hong Kong. I recommend getting] the [Early Park Entry Pass] so you get the park to yourself for a full hour…”

5. Meal Voucher

Now, if you’re looking to try Hong Kong Disneyland’s restaurants inside the park, you can also get a meal voucher. There are three options that you can purchase online:

  • 1 Meal (Lunch or Dinner set) + Snack
  • 1 Meals (Lunch and Dinner sets) + Snack
  • Children’s Meal

The Meal Voucher can be used for any combo meal (comes with a drink) worth HK$160 or $20.7. If the menu you choose costs more than HK$160, you can simply pay the difference via cash or card at the restaurant. Meal Vouchers for adults also come with a snack, and you can choose to get popcorn or a frozen lollipop — perfect while you’re strolling during the day.

Here’s an insightful review about meal vouchers: “The meal voucher is an excellent [add-on to]…the main park tickets. It is definitely cheaper than purchasing two separate meals, and comes with a snack.” The visitor also added that the popcorn seems to be a better choice than the frozen lollipop.

6. Hong Kong Disneyland Ticket Bundles

Admission tickets, add-on passes, and meal vouchers are all sold separately. However, you will find ticket bundles here that you can purchase to save money. Below, our team has a list of the ticket bundles for your easy reference:

7. Group Bundles

If you are visiting Hong Kong Disneyland with a group, be it your friends or family, you can also consider booking these bundled offers for groups of three or four people:

8. Limited-Time Offers

From time to time, Hong Kong Disneyland also offers tickets that are bundled with special merchandise, experiences, or items. As of writing time, the limited offers available are as follows:

IV. Restaurants & Must-Try Food at Hong Kong Disneyland Park

RESTAURANT BESTSELLER
1. Starliner Diner (Tomorrowland) Captain Marvel Beef Burger Combo
2. Comet Cafe (Tomorrowland) Teriyaki Beef with Scrambled Eggs

These six restaurants, which are the most visited among visitors, accept the Hong Kong Disneyland Meal Voucher.

Other dining experiences that you can have at the park include the sumptuous Royal Breakfast Buffet at Arendelle (World of Frozen), where you can get up close and personal with Anna and Elsa. There is also the all-day Semi-Buffet at Explorers’ Club (Mystic Point) and the delectable oriental feast at Plaza Inn (Main Street, USA) called the Dim Sum and Barbecued Specialties Set.

If you want a more private and intimate dining experience, you can also opt to dine at one of the three Hong Kong Disneyland hotels. You can find the hotel dining options (buffet or a la carte) here.

V. Live Shows & Entertainment

disney-premier-access-hong-kong-disneyland-early-park-entry

If I were to be honest, the thing that I liked the most about Hong Kong Disneyland are the live shows and parade — I never expected them to be so good! My friends and I watched the Festival of The Lion King, a 30-minute acrobatic performance that had me shed a tear. It’s one of the popular shows in the theme park and one that no visitor should miss.

Other live shows and musicals that are worth catching are the Moana: A Homecoming Celebration, Playhouse in the Woods, and the new The Joy of Sharing Show featuring Duffy and Friends.

For nighttime entertainment, the “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular takes center stage. This was also one of the highlights of my visit. I liked the grand parade that featured more than 100 Disney characters; it brought a sense of delight and nostalgia. The cutting-edge hydroprojections, 3D mapping technology, synchronized fountain spectacle, and fireworks effects also made the show super memorable.
