The iconic 24 and 48-hour full hop-on, hop-off tours are back in Madrid.
Big Bus, the world-famous operator of open-top double-decker bus tours, brings back its Discover and Essential ticket choices in Madrid, Spain on March 27. The relaunch provides tourists a convenient way to explore the city for 24 or 48 hours and get to Madrid’s must-see landmarks, including The Prado, Reina Sofia, Palacio de Cibeles, and Catedral de la Almudena.
The Discover Ticket, which offers the 24-hour tour, replaces the single-loop tour with no hop-on, hop-off option (HOHO). The Essential option has also seen an upgrade from a 24-hour HOHO pass to a 48-hour ticket. Our contact from Big Bus says that the Explore Ticket, which usually includes a 48 or 72-hour Big Bus access in other cities, will not be returning this time.

New Big Bus Madrid Route
Aside from the full revamp of the Discover and Essential choices, Big Bus also adds a third route to its Madrid city tours. Extending the reach of the current Blue and Orange circuits is the new Purple Route, now open to travelers who want to get to the Royal Palace of Madrid, Neptune’s Fountain, and Puerta de Toledo. Visitors who want to explore Toledo separately can get access to the Red Route by purchasing Big Bus’s standalone Toledo Day Tour tickets.
Pre-recorded commentary or audio guides in at least 10 languages (Spanish, English, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Italian, Arabic, and Mandarin) are also now offered for free to Discover and Essential Choices, replacing the live guides. — Travlists.com
