This is a curated experience for children 3-11 years old that includes meeting their Fairy Godmother-in-training, a Disney princess costume (or a Disney male character costume for boys), hairstyling by a professional glam team, and a special photo-op session. Theme Park or Castle?

That’s because the saloon or boutique facilities at the Storybook Shoppe are much more elaborate than the hotel, and your child will also have the immersive Magical Mirror Room experience that features a neat animation.

Booking the theme park package also means that your daughter or son can walk inside the park in their favorite costume, giving them a really good core memory of their childhood. (As parents, you get to take photos of them in front of the castle!) The only potential downside is that if you are visiting during the humid months of July and August (temperatures in Hong Kong can rise to at least 31°C during this period), your child may want to take off their costume after a while, which may defeat the purpose of the experience.

If, however, you are leaning towards booking the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique hotel package, the upsides are as follows: there are fewer people (even walk-ins are almost never turned away), and you can snap photos at the Victorian-style hotel. In case it rains or gets too humid outside, your kid can still enjoy wandering inside the huge castle. (Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel has many recreational amenities, like the Maze, Playground, and more. While your child is still in costume, make sure to take photos of them in these places!)
